SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF THE GREAT SILK ROAD

Astana–Tashkent–Bukhara-Samarkand-Tashkent

Duration: 4 days, 3 nights

Day City Tour
DAY 1: Astana-Tashkent Flight from Astana to Tashkent;
Air Astana airlines - 7:15-10:50

Sightseeing in Tashkent:
· Visit to old city: Khasti-Imam complex;
· Mui Muborak library with Original Qoran dating to 7th Century;
· Barakhan Medrese (religious school) and new Mosque built in 2007.

DAY 2: Tashkent-Bukhara
Flight Tashkent-Bukhara. Uzbekiston Havo Yullary airline,
07:30-08:45.

Ancient and fabulous Bukhara is a city of magical lamps and eastern beauty. Great Silk Road caravans never missed this 2,500-year-old city, the only oasis for miles.
Arrival at Bukhara. Accommodation.
Sightseeing in Bukhara:
· Visit to the Arc fortress;
· Architectural complex of Kalyan, which flourished from the 12th to 16th centuries;
· Mir-i Arab Medrese, built in the 17th Century;
· Magoki-Attari Mosque, Medrese of Ulughbek and Abdul Aziz Khan, dating from the 15th to 17th centuries;

· Lyabi-Hauz Ensemble and Chor Minor Medrese, dating to the 9th Century;

· Samanid Mausoleum, dating to the 9th and 10th centuries.

DAY 3: Bukhara-Samarkand (280 kilometers, 3 hours)

Early-morning transfer to Samarkand. Full day of excursions.


Sightseeing in Samarkand:
· Bibi Khanum Mosque, the biggest in Central Asia, Timur, the region’s greatest conqueror, built it in honor of his beloved wife;
· Siyab Bazaar, a place to learn about the lifestyle of the local population;
· Shahi-Zinda necropolis, where the Prophet Muhammad’s cousin and Timur are buried;
· Ulughbek observatory, built in the 15th Century to study astronomy.

DAY 4 Samarkand-Tashkent
(300 kilometers, 3 hours) 		Early-morning transfer to Tashkent.
Departure from Tashkent.

*Guides accompanying you during the trip are fluent in English;

**You can depart on the 4th day; if your flight on the next day then you can spend extra night in Tashkent or fly to Almaty for making the return trip.
